Our weekly guided tours which take place on Thursday mornings are proving to be very popular. No surprise really with the wealth of knowledge that Bob brings to bear on what would doubtless be his specialist subject on Mastermind! The tours last around 90 minutes and are lotsof fun and highly informative. A definite must if you like to know more about the history of the church and of Paignton parish in general. We have a vision to keep these ancient doors for many generations to come. Our first phase is safeguarding the heritage and history of the Grade 1 listed site by moving on from decades of patch up jobs and initiating long term solutions. From roof repairs to refurbishment of windows the intentions is to move from a parlous stae to a less soggy one! Current estimates satnd around £200k for the work to the vestry and sacristy roof and windows, much of which we hope will be fun

The Singer organ was donated to the church by Paris Singer 1889 to celebrate his coming of age. Over the years there have been various upgrades and adjustments made but we need to take new measures to ensure its good health for the future. We now have leading experts working on proposals and from there we will seek grants from appropriate bodies to help in funding the work.

This month we say goodbye to our vicar Fr Neil Knox as he leaves Devon for his homeland up north. For nearly 5 years Fr Neil has worked tirelessly to get the parish church in excellent administrative order, strengthened the local food bank and homelessness provision and made a difference in countless lives.
